“The basics of awareness operates on a mental, physical and an unknown plane, thus creating a more meaningful and W/holistic life for everyone.”
— Dr. Donald Tate
I grew up in Eatonville, a small town in Central Florida. Like many children, I was a victim of emotional, verbal/physical abuse and bullying. One day, I told my mother about a particular instance of harsh verbal and physical abuse by my classmates, and I expected her to do something immediately to stop it. Instead, she shocked me with this statement: “If they’re not talking about you, you’re not doing something right.”
It dawned on me later that she was dealing with a higher truth, exposing me to a powerful gift that helped me both then and later in life. Bullies never died. They just grew up and became our bosses, co-workers and even our spouses and children. The real challenge was not what they thought about me, or even what they did to me. It was how I thought about myself and how proactive or reactive I was in uncomfortable situations.
Perhaps Victor Frankl put it best when he said, “Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms–to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.”
I believed it was more effective to accept responsibility for a problem before trying to solve it, and I also understood that I could not solve a problem by claiming ownership of none of it, or simply fixing others.
This realization was pivotal in my young life, and led me to be open to the wisdom of my college mentor, who was extremely knowledgeable about the facets of human behavior. I thirsted for a deeper understanding of myself and of those who were impacting my life. I gained that deeper awareness when I traveled to India to experience the philosophical ideology of Ayurveda, which literally means life-knowledge.
My life’s passion has become my career choice, and I am here to offer others a way to live life in as close to perfect balance as is possible. Namaste.

Background and Bio
Twenty years ago, Florida native, Donald Tate was writing, producing and directing his own message-driven plays. Having successfully conquered that art genre, he transitioned into television and film, under the watchful eye of Professor Kujaatele “Kooge” Kweli, who was once former adviser to six American Presidents. Kweli saw something special in Donald and took him under his wing as an apprentice on the Art of Mastery.
Donald decided to take what he learned from Professor Kweli and focus on human behavior and life’s lessons. That journey commenced when his level of awareness deepened after his mother passed away in March of 2003. In 2004, he traveled to India for a month to expand his awareness of a 5,000-year-old Eastern philosophy known as Ayurveda (English translation: Knowledge of Life/Science).
He returned home and enrolled at the Hindu University of America in Orlando, Florida where he was awarded his Honorary Diploma. He then added Yoga to his repertory, under the guidance of Professor Subhas R. Tiwari. Afterward, Donald went on to receive his Doctoral Degree in Metaphysical Science from the University of Sedona, Arizona, also earning his Grief Recovery Specialist® Certification from The Grief Recovery Institute Educational Foundation (G.R.I.E.F.) in Sherman Oaks, California in 2012.
Dr. Tate intends on furthering his education by studying Vedic Astrology, under the guidance of James Kelleher, (world-renowned Joyotish Vachaspati) Professor of Astrology from the Indian Council of Astrological Science. Dr. Tate studied Yang & Wu Style Tai Chi. He has taught Hatha Yoga for beginners, Intermediate & Partners’ Yoga. In addition, he offers a Grief Recovery Program® and is passionate about helping others incorporate a deeper awareness into their daily lives.
